Regent

I was married after I graduated from Ligonier Valley High School.  I had 4 children, my youngest is deceased, and I have 6 grandchildren.  I worked part time in banking and finance for 20 years, sold real estate for 5 years, and after my husband’s death I got an Associate Degree in Business Management.  I was hired at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Forbes State Forest, Laughlintown, where I was the Administrative Assistant for 13 years.  I married my current husband in 2012.  I joined DAR with one of my childhood friends in 2015.  I have been doing genealogical research for over 20 years and discovered I have numerous local Patriots at both Fort Ligonier and Fort Preservation.  My proven Patriots (thus far) are Michael King, John Brandt Jr., Henry Felgar, Philip Harmon, and Andrew McLean.  Most of my ancestors never moved from the Ligonier Valley area so my roots go deep.  I was the Historian of our chapter from 2016 – 2019, and the Recording Secretary from 2019-2022.
