I was thrilled to find my Patriot, Major John Cessna, in 2017 while researching my family history. I didn't hesitate to begin my process of becoming a DAR member, and I was officially welcomed into the Fort Ligonier Chapter in March of 2019. My husband is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Our two sons are involved in the Fort Preservation Society of the Children of the American Revolution. I am proud to be the Senior President of the Fort Preservation Society, and well as the recording secretary for my DAR chapter. My educational background is in Early Childhood Development, and I am currently teaching Musical Theater to children ages 4-18 at Maestro Minds School of Music, where I have been teaching for 12 years.
